The Internship Experience

The Global Voices Experience caters for talent at all levels, from those still at university and working towards a degree level qualification, to those who have finished their degrees and are looking to begin their careers. If you’re still studying and would like to gain 6 weeks to 12 months of experience working in a company, you may want to consider the Global Voices Internship Programme. Tasks you’ll be undertaking

Contacting linguists for translation projects, assisting the project manager in coordinating both large and small projects, formatting, reviewing, and working with various software that aid project management. You’ll also get to proofread and quality check documents which have been completed by our Linguist department.

The Translation Project Management internship is one which is fast paced, with a wide variety of tasks to perform.

Please note: Translation Project Management interns do not perform the translations themselves but assist with Project Managers in the above tasks.

In order to be accepted onto the Translation Project Management internship programme, you must have attained or be working towards a degree in one of the following areas:

Language Requirements

  • You must be able to speak and write in English at B1 level or above.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
  • Knowledge of SDL Trados systems.

Other Information

  • Your internship must begin on a Monday and end on a Friday.
  • Your internship must last for at least 6 weeks.
  • You must be able to commit to 40 hours of work per week of your internship.
  • Working hours are from 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • All you need is a computer/laptop and an internet connection!
    Global Voices internships are voluntary, and as such are not remunerated.
  • You will be provided with a certificate and confirmation of internship completion once you have satisfactorily completed the full duration of your internship.
