For this service, Save the Children Norway were in urgent need of remote simultaneous interpreters to facilitate a zoom call and discussion for 30 key delegates and participants regarding access to safe education for some of the world’s poorest and most marginalised children.
This was very much an insight, thought leadership and strategy event that required flawless interpretation of a host of languages: English to French/Spanish/Arabic/Russian to help delegates strategize and conduct interactive sessions to help formulate and postulate key learnings and actions to promote access to education in their target demographics.
The challenges stemmed from the selection of languages required in short timeframes and the fact interpreters would need stringent humanitarian/NGO backgrounds to facilitate effective translation of key topics of discussion.
As an expert provider for humanitarian, NGO and charitable organisations, Global Voices had an elite selection of linguists readily available to facilitate the discussions for Save the Children Norway in short timeframes.
Similarly, we are direct partners with Interactio and fully conversant in Zoom functionalities so were able to maintain astute control and awareness of the technical challenges for this event and enable our interpreters to focus solely on the interpretation.
Given the breadth of language variety, and the cultural/linguistic differences it was imperative to run the language interpretations concurrently and not interrupt the flow of the important meeting with too many stoppages, breaks or distractions.
This was achieved with great success and all our stakeholders at Save the Children Norway were immensely grateful for helping them achieve success in this event. We thoroughly look forward to partnering with them closely in the future.
We take great pride in the remarkable success achieved through our dedicated assistance, and the impact it has had on all our esteemed stakeholders at Save the Children Norway.,
Their deep sense of gratitude for our instrumental role in realising success at the event serves as a testament to the value we bring. We eagerly anticipate forging even stronger partnerships, working closely together in the future to create meaningful outcomes and drive positive change.
Our commitment to making a lasting difference remains unwavering, and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
